Aelders began at the end of a long illness. While still in bed from a Spring cold, we planned our first plantings and started gathering recipes for healing remedies.

Our plans include:

• Winter 2025-2026, plant four communities of elderberries mixed with native California plants.

• Setup facilities for processing and packaging products.

• Research and test recipes that blend our Tamil and Sephardic folk medicine heritages.

• 2026-2027, convert land to use water-wise harvesting and irrigation practices.

• 2027-2028, monitor and invest in a second round of native California plantings to support soil.

• 2028-2029, harvest and package first elderberry products.
